This year I began the year telling the kids about the Fantastic Four.  I explained about how each member of the team had special strengths and weakness and when they all worked together, these strengths and weaknesses balanced each other out.  Then, I gave them the following handout.  I asked the students to think about what their imaginary strength or super power might be and also what their real "super power" is.  At the end of each class, I've been picking two kids that have been acting fantastic and also asking the class to pick two more kids that they saw being fantastic.  It all adds up to a Fantastic Four for each class.

Its time for another printable mini comic about how to make printable mini comics!

Download the PDF here or here and follow the instructions below:

1.  Print this document out as a two-sided page.  The words “TOP” should be at the top of both sides of the paper.

2.   Fold the paper in half so that the side with the interior pages is on the outside.
3.  Fold the outside edges to the center fold.

 4.  Unfold the paper completely and fold it in half length wise, so that the interior pages are facing out.
5.  Unfold the paper completely again and cut it nearly in half.
6.  Now fold it the way the folds naturally fall.

Last year I shared a little papercraft Zoetrope I made for my classroom and it became very popular and was mentioned on Make:Online and the Muy Blog as well as a few other places.  I was overwhelmed by the response to this post.

After pilot testing it with two groups, I have tweaked the images of the horse to be more readable.  I've also added a third page with two more strips you can put inside the zoetrope as well as a blank strip to make your own animation.

I have made it available through GoogleDocs and Scribd as well as on its original home on SlideShare.
