Making a Journal Comic Print E-mail

Many elementary students have never imagined that they could express their every day thoughts in the form of a comic. 
This lesson introduces them to this idea and shows a few ways it has been interpreted.

Objective:

Students will look at several different kinds of journal/autobiographical comics and then make a one page story about something that happened to them.

Learning How to Frame Images Print E-mail

Objective:

Students will be introduced to the various camera angles and ways to frame images used in photography, film, video and comic books.  They will apply this knowledge to making a 6 panel comic book page that retells a part of a fairy tale.  This comic should use a variety of different ways to frame images and use no writen words to tell the story.
